Data We Collect

✅ Short Answer: Nothing

Reality does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All app data (settings, blocked apps list, usage statistics) is stored locally on your device and never leaves it.

Data Type Collected? Shared?
Personal Information (name, email) NO NO
Device Information NO NO
Usage Analytics NO NO
App Usage Data NO NO
Location Data NO NO
Crash Reports NO NO

Permissions Explained

Reality requires certain permissions to function. Here's exactly why each is needed:

  • Accessibility Service: Required to detect which app is currently open and block access to restricted apps. This data is processed locally and never stored or transmitted.
  • Usage Stats Access: Required to track your screen time. This data is only displayed to you and stored locally on your device.
  • Display Over Other Apps: Required to show warning overlays when you try to open a blocked app.
  • Device Administrator (Optional): Only needed if you enable anti-uninstall protection. Can be disabled anytime.

🔒 Important Note

Reality does NOT have Internet permission. This means even if we wanted to collect data (we don't), it would be technically impossible to send it anywhere.

Local Data Storage

Reality stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Your blocked apps list
  • Your blocked websites list
  • Focus mode settings and schedules
  • Bedtime mode settings
  • App usage statistics (for your viewing only)
  • Strict mode settings

This data is stored in the app's private storage and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app. No backups are made to any cloud service.

Third-Party Services

✅ We use NONE

Reality does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. There is no Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any other tracking library.

Children's Privacy

Reality does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
